Bounoure & Genevaux, french contemporary artists : the fold

Bounoure & Genevaux explore the Fold as a new creative process between painting and sculpture. They work on two major series named Simple and Replico. Simple is the exploration of the apparition of a unique shape by folding and cutting. The etymolgy of simple in latin means "that has only one fold".  This first fold determines all the following. The second serie named Replico - from latin re(again) and plicare (to bend) - is the exploration of the multiplication a shape by folding. Folding works here as a mirroring  process.

Bounoure et Genevaux sont des artistes contemporains français. Leur  travail est axé sur le pli, en tant geste intuitif à l'origine des formes.
